The Quiet Framez Philosophy

Goran here — the Zagreb-based street and travel photographer behind Quiet Framez.

I’m drawn to the moments that exist between the obvious ones.

A person passing through a patch of light. A shadow cutting across a wall. The geometry of a street, a reflection, a collision of color — small details that briefly fall into place before the scene changes again.

Whether I’m photographing close to home or travelling somewhere new, I’m rarely interested in simply documenting where I’ve been. I’m more interested in how a place feels — its rhythm, light, people, imperfections and everyday details.

That same approach also shapes the Fujifilm recipes I create: built around the light, colour and atmosphere I keep finding along the way, rather than trying to imitate a specific film stock.

Some photographs stay with me for reasons beyond the frame itself. Blue Shadow is one of them — it came at the end of one chapter in my photography and later received 3rd Prize at Fotoklub Zagreb’s Photography of the Year 2024 exhibition.

Quiet Framez is my way of collecting those fragments — ordinary scenes that, for a moment, become something worth looking at twice.
